Quest Human Capital is supporting a leading European asset management company in the recruitment of a Accountant overseeing several of its international branches.
Our client is a well-established player in the asset management industry, with a strong presence across Europe and a solid operational platform.
The Role
This position sits within the central finance team in Luxembourg and focuses on the coordination and control of accounting and payroll activities across several European branches (Belgium, Spain, and Italy).
The role is primarily operational, with a strong focus on:
- reviewing outputs from external providers
- ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial data
- supporting recurring reporting cycles
It does not involve fund accounting or investment-related activities, but rather the day-to-day financial operations of the legal entities.
You will act as the main point of contact between local accounting/payroll providers and the group finance team, ensuring alignment with internal standards and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting
- Review monthly financial statements prepared by external providers
- Control payroll accounting and related social charges
- Ensure consistency and proper integration into group reporting
- Follow up on accounting issues across entities
Coordination
- Act as key interface with external accounting and payroll firms
- Monitor deliverables and ensure deadlines are met
- Escalate discrepancies when needed
Budgeting & Monitoring
- Support budget preparation and periodic forecasts
- Track variances and provide basic analysis
Treasury
- Execute payments
- Monitor cash positions at entity level
Tax & Compliance
- Liaise with local advisors on routine tax matters
- Support documentation and compliance processes
Profile
Must-Have
- 3 to 5 years of experience in audit or accounting
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- Strong understanding of accounting processes
- Fluent French and English (mandatory)
- Solid Excel skills
- Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in financial services (not mandatory)
- Exposure to multi-entity environments
- Knowledge of Cegid
- Additional languages (French, Spanish, Italian)
