About the Company
Our client is a well-established financial institution on the Luxembourg market, currently investing in the further development of its Venture & Growth Debt platform to support innovative businesses and entrepreneurs.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Venture & Growth Debt Expert to lead the origination, structuring and execution of debt financing solutions for start-ups, scale-ups and high-growth companies.
This is a highly visible role combining commercial development, transaction execution and strategic market positioning within Luxembourg's innovation ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and lead Venture & Growth Debt transactions from sourcing through execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, Venture Capital and Private Equity funds, investors and key ecosystem stakeholders.
- Evaluate business models, growth strategies and financing requirements of innovative companies.
- Lead financial, legal and operational due diligence processes.
- Structure senior, junior and subordinated debt facilities, including hybrid debt/equity solutions where appropriate.
- Negotiate term sheets and financing documentation while managing transactions through internal approval and closing.
- Oversee portfolio performance, risk management and strategic reporting.
- Develop sector expertise across Industry 4.0, FinTech, HealthTech and Sustainable Construction.
- Mentor junior professionals and contribute to the continuous development of the Venture & Growth Debt practice.
Profile
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience within Venture Capital, Private Equity, Venture Debt, Growth Lending, Investment Banking, Debt Funds or Corporate Finance.
- Proven track record originating, structuring and executing complex financing transactions.
- Strong understanding of venture debt, subordinated financing and hybrid capital structures.
- Experience assessing innovative and technology-driven businesses.
- CFA, CAIA or equivalent certifications are considered an advantage.
Languages
- French is mandatory.
- Excellent command of English.
- Luxembourgish and/or German would be considered an asset.
