About the Company
Our client is a well-established financial institution on the Luxembourg market, currently expanding its Corporate Finance division to support the financing of innovative companies, scale-ups and high-growth businesses.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Venture & Growth Debt Mid-Level professional to support the origination, analysis, structuring and monitoring of debt financing transactions for innovative companies across the Luxembourg ecosystem.
You will work on complex financing projects at the intersection of Corporate Finance, Venture Capital and Growth Lending, contributing to transactions from initial assessment through execution and portfolio monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination of Venture & Growth Debt opportunities across Luxembourg's innovation ecosystem.
- Analyse business plans, financial projections and growth strategies of start-ups and scale-ups.
- Perform financial modelling, including revenue projections, burn rate analysis, runway modelling and repayment scenarios.
- Review financial, legal and operational due diligence alongside internal teams and external advisors.
- Prepare investment papers and credit memoranda for internal approval committees.
- Support the structuring of senior, junior and subordinated debt solutions, including hybrid financing structures where appropriate.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing transaction documentation, including term sheets and financing agreements.
- Monitor portfolio performance through KPIs, covenants and business milestones.
- Develop sector expertise across technology, FinTech, Industry 4.0, HealthTech and Sustainable Construction.
Profile
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Around 5+ years' experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Venture Debt, Growth Lending, Corporate Finance or Transaction Advisory.
- Strong financial modelling and business analysis capabilities.
- Experience analysing innovative or technology-driven companies.
- Familiarity with databases such as PitchBook, Crunchbase or Capital IQ is considered an advantage.
- CFA, CAIA or equivalent certifications are appreciated.
Languages
- French is mandatory.
- Excellent command of English.
- Luxembourgish and/or German would be considered an asset.
